Love the jumpers, and Dear England is incredible - I am not a footie fan at all but I loved it and Gareth Southgate is a good human. Gives me faith in humanity! My glimmers right now are my family, looking after me in a health ebb. ❤️
I’m sorry to hear you’re in an ebb; I hope the flow comes soon! Chronic illness is so annoying, isn’t it? So difficult to manage and no idea how you’re going to feel on any given day! I wish Gareth Southgate would hold some kind of public office. He just seems like the nicest person. I’ve had a soft spot for him ever since I read an interview where he said he didn’t ask his now-wife out for ages because he didn’t think he was attractive enough. My heart. 💔
I've missed your glimmers! ✨ I really have to get an alarm clock as I also do everything with my phone, except reading and commenting on Substack and IG, haha. I so love your garden and the pretty trees and blooms. 🌸 And I can't get over the fact that that creepy man did that to you! I immediately had a comeback, but it's not polite for me to write it out here. 😅 I hope June will be filled with lots of magic and wonder and cozy days filled with sunshine and an abundance of creative energy. ✨
It’s so nice to have you back; you’ve been missed! I hope June will be sparkly and wonderful for you and I can’t wait to catch up on your new post too. 🥰
Loved to read your 3 Glimmers of June, so different from each other 😊. I really love your garden with all the pinks and I hope you will enjoy it during the summer. And I also love the quotes on your clothes, that grey one, such a lovely soft color! Please just wear them, no matter what a man (or woman) thinks he (or she) has to say about of it. Except for a well meant compliment 😉 Wishing you a June full of summery glimmers Victoria 🌞💗✨
I really love that school report! I think that’s an excellent characteristic to have. And please do wear those slogan tops… that work situation is so disappointing, as is the fact the only other person to stand up for you was another woman. Sigh. But we can’t let the patriarchy win!
100% - smashing the patriarchy has become a life goal of mine. 😂 A gardener once asked my husband if I had permission to make decisions on his behalf to which I (apoplecticly) responded, “I don’t need his permission, I own half the flipping house”. 😱 Also, as if we haven’t discussed it in advance?!
So lovely, Victoria, I enjoyed reading about your glimmers so much! I'm curious every month what you will choose, and they all turn out to be so different, so interesting, so surprising sometimes. I love that! Football (albeit in the form of a theatre play) and jumpers, I didn't expect that 😉 - and I love it! 😍
What a creepy guy and what an uncomfortable situation! At work! This made me so angry, honestly! Yes, wear those jumpers and t-shirts! Love the school report, by the way, "Victoria does not suffer fools gladly". Rightly so! Why should you?! 😁
Your garden looks lovely! It can be a bit overwhelming when starting from scratch, right? At least, I feel this way. 😅 You've done great, enjoy it, summer is coming! 🌸
As ever, so nice to learn a bit more about you. Looking forward to future posts! Have a lovely June! 🌼
Haha yes, my glimmers are a bit random! The garden definitely overwhelmed me for a long time. We’ve managed to get it to a manageable state now but we’ve been lucky that the weather has been good. Once it starts raining again and it needs weeding more regularly, I am sure I will start to find it overwhelming again. 😁Thank you so much for reading, Claudia. It really means so much.
You call it random, I call it interesting surprises I’m really looking forward to when your newsletters arrive. 😄😊
That’s the problem with overwhelm, isn’t it? You think you have everything under control now and everything is going well until one little thing throws you off balance again. Garden, life, projects … what’s the difference? 😅 I’m sure you will be fine and your garden will be too! 🌿🌸
Finding and recording glimmers is a beautiful mindset and habit. How wonderful that you have given your garden the necessary attention. It will give so much joy in return.
Thank you Terje! Yes, I hope so. I’m really enjoying tending it so perhaps this is the start of a new stage of gardening for me! Do you enjoy gardening?
My sister and mom are gardeners. I am not much of help. I enjoy what they create and once a summer I am allowed to buy summer flowers for one flowerbed. That is fun. 🙂

Oh goodness...love him even more. Thank you, the ebb will pass! 🫶

Thank you so much Hilda. I will wear the jumper and I agree about the grey - it’s such a lovely colour! I’m wishing you a sparkling June ☺️

Brilliant. Mine too! As for that gardener… HOW are people still coming out with things like that?! I’d have been fuming 😡

Hasn’t May been a glorious month?! 😍🌸
It has been wonderful. What has your highlight been, David?
I say definitely get those jumpers back out!
Your garden is looking lovely 😊
Thank you Debbie! Thinking about organising a jumper wearing collective. 😂
Yes! You definitely need to do one 😂

I love that they let you “help” once per summer. 😂 Such a sweet ritual!
You wear those jumpers, girl. Middle finger to the patriarchy, it is. I love the non merci one.
On Wednesdays (and Mondays-Sundays), we smash the patriarchy. You know how it is.
