Loving your glimmers ✨ I think that idea of finding our tribe is one which resonates strongly with many of us in our busy, modern world. When there are almost infinite opportunities to interact with other people, finding those who’ll truly walk beside us, no matter what, feels even more important 🌿
A lovely, gentle read Victoria, thank you so much. I can relate with having to slow down, it is a practice and I am glad we are both on this journey of enjoying where we are now.🌻
Thank you for reading, Clare! Enjoying where we are now is so important and something I'm really trying to practice. How does it work for you in your life?
As I get older I have realised even more the preciousness of each day. This helps me feel grounded and allows fast racing thoughts to retreat a little. It is also about acceptance. Accepting we have and are enough and doing, having more won’t really allow for real contentment. I do believe that comes from within 💕
Love your glimmers as always Victoria 🙌 ... I really like your take on adult friendships and how they change. I've never been one to have a massive group of friends, being such a ((anxious!)) introvert ! But, as you said a tribe of close friends is beautiful. There is something quite magical about the ease of coming together, sharing and inspiring with your people. Thank you for sharing so honestly with us 💞
It's funny isn't it; I've always had a small group of close friends because I find that I don't have the time or the energy to maintain relationships with a lot of people and because the older I get, the less interested I am in superficial relationships. I always love it when I make a new connection though and that person joins the tribe. It's really comforting to know that you can still make meaningful friendships as you get older.
March has brought beautiful sunshine with it ✨️ have you read Miranda Hart's new book 'I haven't been entirely honest with you'....it's about her 10 year journey through/with chronic illness? It's really brilliant and full of wisdom....Karen
I haven't read it but I will look it up. Thanks for the recommendation, Karen! I have really been enjoying the sunshine over the past couple of days. What a wonderful change from the grim grey of February.
When I read your glimmers, it makes me feel good, even though it’s about your life. I think that the gratitude spreads through the screen. I smiled to see cats illustrating the glimmer of community. :)
Aw, thank you so much Terje, that's such a lovely thing to say. After many years of just feeling stressed and anxious about everything, I decided to try seeing the beauty in small moments and just being grateful for the things I get to do, rather than constantly worrying about the things I don't get to do. A small life is no less meaningful and I'm really enjoying the journey of figuring out what that looks like for me. I'm glad you enjoyed the cats; they asked if they could guest star. :)
Wonderful glimmers of self-care! 💖
I wish you a beautiful, gentle March with lots of glimmers to find! Spring is just around the corner! 🌷🐝🐦☀️
Thank you, Claudia. I wish the same for you!
Feels like a february well spend. Wishing you a gentle, soft, slow and light March! 🌷🌞💗
And you, Hilda. I hope it is wonderful for you.

I completely agree, David. Finding those people is so important and it's exciting to think that there are always new stages and people to meet.

Thanks for helping me adjust to a new chronic illness-my first! And I’m 91!
Wishing you the best of health, Janet! 91 is a great age. Whatever age we are, it is always nice to meet people in similar boats. :)
