I really like this Victoria. I'd never heard of these cards before (perhaps I've been living under a rock?) but I'm certainly intrigued to learn more 😀
Thank you for sharing, stories we need to know and to remember! I also love Oracle cards and use them more and more... Recently fell in love with the 'Seasons of the Witch Ostara Oracle' which I have to try yet 😊
Most of the time I just take one card to answer a question 😄 But at the beginning of the Year I used a layout for the Year ahead with 1 card in the middle of a circle of 12 cards for each month like a clock, starting with January on 1 o’clock.
So happy that the oracle decks have found you and what a magnificent triptych of goddesses. I love how the different goddess energies reach us at different moments in our lives, thank you for sharing with us Victoria xx
Thank you for reading, Lyndsay! I find myself drawn to this deck more than my others so perhaps there are some messages I need to learn from the goddesses. :) xx
Ha, yes - I wonder if Namakaokahai was the older sister and by the time Pele came around, their parents were tired of having to call out a long name every time.
A fascinating read and a good insight to this area. I’m not familiar with the drawing of cards, but I am interested in how this ancient art conducts itself now and in past times, and using it in the everyday. Thanks for sharing!x
Thanks for reading, Sarah. I was vaguely aware of it before joining Substack but have only really started to explore it more recently. I'm too much of a wimp for full on tarot but oracle cards are an excellent gateway (and generally much more positive). x

I like the idea of the cards for the year. What does the card in the middle symbolise? Is that for the year as a whole?
Yes! 😊
Thank you for reading, Hilda! I don't know that Oracle deck but will have a look for it. Do you have any layouts that you find particularly inspiring?

I feel like Namakaokahai must have also hated her sister for having such a easy-to-pronounce name, lol.

This is lovely, and I’ve got many decks but this one is new to me… it’s beautiful xx
Thank you so much for reading, Lauren! xx
