This was wonderful to read, you capture summer and many of my feelings about it so beautifully. I used to live for summer (and dread winter), then I found summer far too bright and oppressive but now I am sinking into the fullness of it, how it is everything and for me it spells a deepening of experience, everything becomes more of itself. I love early summer mornings pottering around the garden, walks under the shelter of the woods, the long evening light and feeling the ripe juiciness of everything! xx
I love the idea of sinking into the fullness of it. I’ve come to the conclusion that even though I don’t like it, it’s coming around each year whether I like it or not so I had better make the most of it! xx
Wonderful article 😃 like you, I'm no longer a fan of the heat. I love those summer mornings that are a little crisp with a gentle breeze but warm enough for light clothing. I too love to watch the bees go about their day. 🐝
I love all the seasons but summer is my favourite. To be able to sit outside in the sunshine reading or eating or just watching the birds and the flowers and enjoying the long days is bliss to me.
Lovely post! Summer for me is made of slowness, sweet berries, bright flowers, swimming in the sea, fresh home grown tomatoes and warm nights that stay light.
I am a winterbaby too and love everything you write about enjoying the summer! And do not mind the darkness in November either 🤪
The darkness in November has its own magic! Thank you so much for reading.

The long days are so lovely - I love that there is more daylight. It makes everything seem happier.
