Im an autumn baby, turning 50 this autumn, and I cannot think of anything better than stumbling upon a Substack that has autumn in the title! So looking forward to following along and creating community with you as we all slowly move through the seasons together. 🌻🍂
Hiiii! *waves* I'm an Autumn girl *happy flails* Autumn is the season where I feel most alive for both the physical beauty & wonder it brings, but also what it symbolizes. An in-between state of being where magic resides and stories seems to dance around, waiting to be told. 🥰 I'm looking forward to read more, lovely! ✨
'It is harder to love that which cloaks itself, that asks for dedication and perseverance in the pursuit of its beauty.' I love this sentence. It speaks to me not just of Autumn but of true love, that loves the deep and hidden parts of us...
An absolutely gorgeous poetic musing/essay/reflection on life. Please continue to dare to write. There is so much that resonated in the text that I can hardly begin.
Carina, thank you so much for this wonderful comment! I’m so grateful to you for reading. I’m glad it resonates with you - it’s lovely to find people who feel the same. :)
“It is harder to love that which cloaks itself, that asks for dedication and perseverance in the pursuit of its beauty. One might wonder if the effort expended in the search for such beauty makes it all the more meaningful when it is found?” Love this! And congrats on your first post that’s the hardest bit done!
I want to introduce myself, as it's sort of amazing we've never actually met in person nor virtually! I'm USA Vicky. :) I don't know if that's what Christina calls me to you, as she calls you UK Vicky to me! Haha. Anyway, I totally resonate with your experience. I started writing recently as well after falling in love with everything Beth Kempton does. I've fallen off the habit a bit as I have a million other things I want to do too, but I've joined her SoulCircle and hope that it'll get me back in the swing of things.
So nice to see you here and thank you so much for subscribing! She does call you US Vicky 😂 Christina told me you’d started writing as well so it’s wonderful to be able to share this with you both. I’m also part of the SoulCircle so I’m really excited to read, and go on this journey with, you!
I love your interpretation of autumn for your substack! 🩷

Bravo! It takes courage to take the first step when you can’t see the entire staircase.
Thank you for being here to witness that first step.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower – Albert Camus.

I love your description of autumn and what it stands for...it is my favorite season 🤎
Thank you Dawn! It’s my favourite season too. I find it really magical. It’s also a great excuse to eat apple crumble. :)
Do we need an excuse? 🤔😂
Now I wish I had some apples...
This is beautiful! Welcome!

Awesome! Perhaps if we're both interested, we can even become accountability partners!
That sounds like a great plan!
Also, I’m sorry, Christina just reminded that you came to my house for new years a long time ago! 🤪
