I love your idea of a calendar retrospective! Wonderful idea to remember and share those memories with loved ones.

Beautiful pictures! I especially liked Windsor Great Park. Those silhouettes against the sky, wow!

London has always been my absolute favourite city in the world. For many reasons, but being able to walk through a fascinating long, rich history with signs of it everywhere plus the modern buildings just next to them, London as an ever-changing, ever-evolving city with such a strong history, it never stops to enthrall me. It's been far too long since my last visit ...

You will be welcome any time! I agree about London; there’s just so much here and it’s such a mix of everything. Always something interesting to see or do. Thank you so much for reading. I hope 2025 is the year you get to experience London again! ☺️

Such a lovely way to look back on the past year, and I think the idea of a calendar retrospective is super! The second part of this year here has been stressful, and I say that as someone not easily stressed out by things, so I’m definitely looking forward to leaving that behind as we transition to a new calendar year 🙏✨

I love creating retrospective essays as a way to document and process memories and moments. And I think it is always such a gift to be able to peek into someone else’s own look back over the year. What a beautiful journey you have had - can’t wait to see the last half as well! 🫶🏻

What a lovely way to look back at your year! Funny thing, last time I went to London in 1997( my goodness, that's a long time ago!) or was it 1998? Well, anyhow, I went to Richmond and bought Winnie the Pooh for my daughter along with some gorgeous children's clothes.

Approximately ten years before I visited Ghent with my student organization at Uni. Your post really threw me down memory lane!

I’m so glad it brought back some lovely memories for you! I wonder if your daughter still has that copy of Winnie the Pooh… 😁

Yes she does but he stays with me. I bought him from the Disney shop 😅 on of the main streets in the center.

I'm hoping to leave behind the acute pain of bereavement and replace it with happy memories and smiles.

I loved reading this and the photos all fit so well with what you wrote for each month. Like you, finding ways to live a slower and more intentional life is a priority for me as we move into 2025. I’ve let go of a lot this year and the space that has created feels both exciting and slightly scary! I want to fill that space wisely with things that truly matter to me. Thanks for a great post.

P.s. I have an early January birthday as well and feel exactly the same!
